Radio K teamed up with Black Corners and Vita.mn to revive the annual Hip-Hop For The Homeless event put on by Radio K to benefit homeless youth in the Twin Cities Area. Hosted by I-Self Devine, a man who fights for social change, the event will feature a diverse line-up of artists from Dessa Darling of Doomtree performing with St. Paul's Heiruspecs, Muja Messiah who's been making waves nationally, The Chosen Few collective, Maria Isa, Big Quarters, M.anifest, Indigo and Sha Cage along with DJ Nickoless and Mike the 2600 King.
This year Hip-Hop For The Homeless will benefit Youthlink one of the largest and most experienced nonprofit youth service provider in the Twin Cities area. They specialize in multiple needs of homeless and precariously housed youth (14-21). Offering a broad continuum of services a virtual multi-service center is available to youth all under one roof. Addressing each young person's needs using a positive youth development approach. With guidance, encouragement and advising youth toward self-sufficiency, self-empowerment and healthy connectedness.
Donations Needed:
Clothing-Age appropriate for Female/Male (15-21) Jeans, T-shirts, Sweaters, Sweatshirts in all sizes as well as Interview clothing suites, dress slacks, skirts, blouses, etc.
Toiletries such as: toothpaste, toothbrush, toilet paper, tampons, maxi pads, tissues, shampoo, soap, etc
